In recent weeks, we have worked with TechHub by efs to show what is possible when two strong automotive software worlds are brought together for dual use in the defence sector: TechHub by efs not only provided the Rover as a robotics platform, but also brought in software modules from autonomous driving - especially for sensor processing and control. 

A perfect basis for understanding complex environments and precisely controlling movements. e.solutions GmbH contributed our AI camera stack from the infotainment environment and adapted it for the rover. The AI processes camera data in real time, clearly recognises the correct target person and enables a robust follow-me mode. Low-latency, highly available and proven millions of times in the vehicle - real automotive DNA. I am particularly proud of how quickly both teams delivered results together. Within just a few weeks, a fully functional PoC was created that shows how well automotive technologies can be transferred to autonomous robotics. Our joint testing in the Hallertau region captured this impressively: real environments, challenging scenarios and technology that works where it is needed.
