Since fall Audi is offering its customers in selected countries the "Functions on Demand". This allows certain functions to be added even after the car has been purchased. This feature is currently available for the e-tron models as well as the current models of the A4, A5, A6, A7, Q5, Q7 and Q8 series. Others will follow successively. The functions that can be booked depend on the vehicle model and market. 
The hardware for the functions that can be subsequently activated is installed in all vehicles from the factory and is therefore available throughout their entire life cycle. However, the customer only pays for the functions that he ordered at the time of purchase or that he subsequently adds.
