Moving at the Ingolstadt location!

"Silicon Valley in Ingolstadt" - our new company headquarters was officially opened!

On 19.04.2016 e.solutions GmbH inaugurated the new company headquarters in Despag-Straße in Ingolstadt. Only two minutes away from the motorway, the 180 employees in Ingolstadt will now have a new company headquarters. With almost 5,000 m², the new building will accommodate the rapid growth of the company and provide space for concentrated system development and networking.

The success story of e.solutions GmbH demonstrates Ingolstadt's potential as an attractive and innovative business location. As a joint venture of Elektrobit GmbH and Audi Electronics Venture GmbH, a fully-owned Audi subsidiary, the company develops premium infotainment systems for AUDI AG and the Volkswagen Group. With a unique approach in the automotive industry, the company is a pioneer for the shortest innovation cycles in automotive infotainment. "The modular infotainment kit leverages unique synergies worldwide and was only made possible by the e.solutions team," said Ricky Hudi, Head of Electrical/Electronic Development at AUDI AG, in recognition of their achievements. Innovations in the new Audi Q7 that e.solutions has produced include the Audi virtual cockpit, the Audi tablet and Audi connect solutions such as the navigation data update over the air. This success is based, among other things, on the worldwide development network with more than 30 partners, including big names such as NVIDIA & Qualcomm and software partners such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, IBM, QNX.

Lord Mayor Dr. Christian Lösel, who attended the celebrations in person, highlighted digitalization as one of the key issues for the future viability of the city of Ingolstadt and paid tribute to Audi's leading role. One measure taken by the City of Ingolstadt to promote development was the "Digital Incubator". For Ricky Hudi, e.solutions represents the spirit of Silicon Valley in Ingolstadt and ensures dynamic growth. He summed up the founding of the company in 2009 as "a courageous and correct decision by Audi, despite the financial crisis at the time”. Alexander Kocher, Managing Director of the joint venture partner Elektrobit, is also proud to have helped make this success story possible and, looking back, explained the decision as an important step for Elektrobit.
